Bottleneck Gallery - New York

As part of this Blog, I would like to highlight some of the places that create, promote, and sell the art that we collectors cherish so much.

My first Gallery post is on Bottleneck Gallery from Brooklyn, New York.

Here is the about us from Bottleneck's website

Located in Williamburg, Brooklyn, NY, Bottleneck Gallery is a contemporary art space founded by Joe Bouganim, Josh Harris and Arseny Libon.
The gallery’s main focus is to support all emerging and established artists and to bring them exposure in New York City. In turn, we will be donating a portion of all proceeds from our solo and group exhibition to a variety of charities.

The truth is that the above description doesn't even scratch the surface of the awesomeness of what Bottleneck is doing. Tonight I was able to scoop up some pre-sale posters for their event starting tomorrow entitled Alternate Ending. An exhibit where artists were tasked with taking the ending to a popular movie, and recreating their own Alternate ending for that film. There are 62 prints for sale and quantities are usually limited to 100 per print.  Each artists' print is so different and there is very little overlap of films so there really is something for everyone!

I have also had the fortune of purchasing posters from the Can't Beat Em, Join Em: The Zombie Show in October which offered 130 different pieces of art all Zombie related! There are still many pieces ava1ilable from this collection including some awesome skate decks, and even Shaun of the Dead Cricket Bats!

There are other collections on their site, and they are working towards starting solo exhibits with higher profile artists as their reputation grows. I can guarantee that in 2013 Bottleneck Gallery will become a well known name in the screen print/artwork community.
